Pre and Post Pregnancy Exercise Classes

Maroubra Pelvic Floor Centre also offers specialised consultations for individualised treatments. Amazingly, 1 in 3 women could have a problem with incontinence, and it can be prevented with effective physiotherapy. Please inquire at reception if you wish to have more information.

Exercises classes run by a trained women’s health physiotherapist can help numerous problems associated with pregnancy.

Do you have any problems with:

  • Pain or discomfort in the lower back, neck, shoulders, pelvic pain or other related pregnancy pain?
  • Pelvic floor weakness?
  • Prolapse?
  • Abdominal separation or weakness?
  • Bladder leakage?
  • General weakness during/ after pregnancy?

Specific exercises targeted at the female body during and after pregnancy can help assist with these specific problems.

These exercises classes are designed to safely help women return to exercises post pregnancy as well as provide safe and supervised exercises for those during their pregnancy.

Our classes will run in blocks of 6 weeks. The cost will be $180 for each block ($30 per class)

Private health fund rebates may apply for exercise classes (item number 596)

Tuesdays 12pm-1pm and Thursdays 2pm-3pm. (Pre and Post pregnancy classes) More classes will be added as needed.

Information session on designated topic/ Q&A with certified women’s health physiotherapist

Exercise class specifically designed for pre and post pregnant women, with a pilates/ women’s health specialised physiotherapist

Children under 6 months are able to attend (please speak with physiotherapist if any concerns).
